Ukraine -Support to Municipal Development

In 2024 a review is carried out of the EU Programme: U-LEAD, which supports the municipal reform since 2015 and preparation of municipal reconstruction projects. PWB Consult also prepared a facility managed by the Danish Association of Municipalities (KL) for twinning cooperation between larger Danish and Ukrainian municipalities, which is now implemented by five Danish municipalities. and partner cities in Ukraine. In 2023 PWB Consult led the evaluation of two Swedish Decentralisation Support Programmes in Ukraine with Tana Copenhagen.


Preparation of the Urban Institutional and Infrastructure Development Program2

PWB Consult has from 2022 to 2024 been assigned to the technical assessment of a large Government/WB program to provide infrastructure and capacity building to more than 200 Urban Local Governments in Ethiopia. This includes compilation of financial data on revenues and expenditures for capacity assessments of more than 200 ULGs and development of a Program for Result Program following WB procedure.



Preparation of the Project Operations Manuals (POM) for World Bank Projects in Solomon Islands



After finalising the POM for the Integrated Economic Development and Community Resilient Project in 2023, the preparation of the POM for the Capacity Building to Audit and Statistics started in September 2023. The manuals are developed with the WB, ministries and other SI institutions and
include all elements for effective project implementation including responsibilities of staff, financial management, procurement, rules for capacity building, social and environment protection, and procedures for disbursements of funds to beneficiaries. POM training was also delivered to projects staff and government officials in Honiara in January 2023.
